I moved to Charlotte after earning a Masters in Education from Winthrop University and taught Exceptional Education for thirteen years. I decided to transition into real estate and learned quickly I was using many of the same skills, such as listening, follow-up, task analysis and problem solving. In 1991 I moved to Midwood and fell in love with everything about the neighborhood. My desire to serve the community led me to serve two terms as the PMNA President. While on the PMNA board I worked closely with the HDC (Historic District Commission) and developed knowledge and passion for historic homes. I have personally owned and managed the renovations of 6 homes in Charlotte and as a result of this field experience I have developed knowledge of home construction. Perhaps that why I feel confident in helping sellers decided which updates to do to net them the highest return on their investment before putting their home on the market. And on the flip side I have the vision to help buyers see what a home could become if they choose a fixer upper.
Whether you are a first time buyer or new to the region I bring my 20 plus years of working in the Charlotte-Metro real estate market to the table. Our area is growing every year and has many types of neighborhoods and communities to offer. From the lake communities to urban living or deciding between new construction verses a turn of the century homes the choices can be overwhelming. That is why one of my favorite things is to be a bit of a detective by listening to my clients loves, work location, hobbies and past living experiences I guide them to paint a whole picture and then together we search the areas and homes that suites their life style.
Nothing speaks to my professionalism and caring as do my many repeat clients and their referrals. A personal referral from a past client speaks volumes to the job well done in the past and the trust they have in me to take exceptional care of their friend, family member or co-worker. Recently at a closing a buyer client of mine said, “You are our family Realtor”. I smiled because that was the sixth sale I had had within their extended family and there is more to come. When you combine my experience, caring and market knowledge I have one question for you, “Are you ready to get started?”
