Like a good number of people in Charlotte, I’m a transplant! Although I am originally from Central NY, Charlotte has been my home since 2005. You’ve heard the phrase “had me at hello”, well when Charlotte welcomed me with beautiful Camelias blooming in January, The Queen City has had my heart ever since!
For me, I needed a place that felt welcoming, that had “enough going on”, had a diverse population, appreciated nature and had a significant number of parks and greenways… and that had a focus on the future, but that also showed it was making changes so as not to forget it’s past. When I moved here, 14 years ago, not much of what I just mentioned, was here, or wasn’t in great amounts anyway. That said, plans were being put into action. There wasn’t just forward thinking happening, people were DOING things that mattered for Charlottes future. I wanted to take part in that growth. So I did. I went and became a Realtor. Now, the work I do, truly helps to connect people, not just with a new, beautiful home, but a new community and entire city. I am blessed to be able to work everyday with others who love design, truly appreciate various styles of architecture and who deeply understand the interconnectedness between real estate and policy, and how those 2 things impact communities so greatly. I guess you could say becoming a real estate broker was the perfect way for me to blend my political science degree with my love of great design and desire to contribute to having a better future for all of us.
I could go on and on about the knowledge I have gained working in various facets of real estate, from New Construction, to designing, managing and staging over 40 renovation projects, to working with investors analyzing properties for short and long term holds, to taking the time to REALLY understand loan products for first time buyers, self employed people and small business owners…BUT I think we’d achieve greater success in finding out if were the right fit to work together, if you send an email or a quick text, and we go from there.
